Exercise Platform for SEN students
This project was requested by the Department of Health and Physical Education at The Education University of Hong Kong. They requested the development of an exercise platform to guide SEN (Special Educational Needs) students in doing exercises at home. They had recorded nearly 500 videos to provide guidance, covering five different exercise categories. The goal was to create an engaging app that would motivate students to use the platform. Through multiple meetings, we refined their ideas regarding ranking, leveling up, and a badge system to track platform usage, completed exercises, and exercise categories.
For the UIUX part, I designed the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) flow for the app and website platform. Additionally, I assisted in designing the logo and creating badge graphics, including level-up badges, badges for the five exercise categories at different levels, and badges for consecutive days of exercise. Finally, I created two booklets as manual guides for both the front-end and back-end systems. I recorded the steps using the Druuble online record system and created the layout using Adobe InDesign. The project spanned approximately three months including both design and programming.
